It is always difficult sorting teams/squads at the start of season, and there are bound to be a few adjustments – captains are in constant communication and also meet monthly to discuss selection, when this can be reviewed.

Squads are not set in stone, there may be new players to consider, juniors moving up to senior hockey, players being lost to or coming back from injury, and no doubt there will be some movement up and down.

Selection is always a really tough job, and whilst we aim to put out the strongest teams each week, we have to take into account a number of factors including ability, ongoing availability, attendance at training, match effort and club/team spirit – the club policy is available for viewing Selection Policy.
