MESSAGE FROM ORGANISER:
I’ve been looking at the weather conditions and have been out in it today to watch sport. The West HA chair is advising that all county games are going ahead tomorrow in Taunton. I’m inclined to follow suit and go ahead.
The yellow weather warning is due to stop at 6am tomorrow and wind speeds are predicted to drop gradually overnight & throughout sunday.
The risks on the pitch of extreme wind are the goals/equipment moving, but as this has not been happening at the games I’ve seen today then I think we’ll be ok.
We are planning to run the tournaments but I intend to pitch inspect at 7:30am tomorrow so if it looks to be unplayable conditions at that point I’ll call off then.
If people have concerns driving, I feel that is probably up to individuals to make their own calls on that. I know there are some road closures but I would think most people have alternative routes available to them.
If you don’t hear anything further from us then we’ll see you all at the pitches tomorrow.
