A nail biter of a game which could have gone either way with lots of well worked chances throughout the game from both sides. Thankfully some maxificent gritty play in the final 8 minutes saw Cirencester come out on top just; but well aided by a hatrick of goals from Isla P in the back end of the hour. Goal of the match certainly goes to Olivia W's opener which was a suberb strike from the edge of the D, this was followed by a well worked effort and clinical finish by Kitty Ashbee at the close of the initial period. A big shout out to all the players who gave it their all; some particular noteworthy mentions go to Savannha P who gave a captains example of work rate throughout the match at both ends of the pitch; also to Olivia W, Isla P, Beth N, Evie W and Olivia L who all dug in throughout the full session. It was great to see the continued improvement from all the players and the team effort across the board, a particular thanks to all the substitutes who dove in at key stages and helped to keep the intensity up. It would be remise not to also mention the Gloucester City team who were an extremely worthy opposition and contributed to a fantastic game. Well done to all and look forward to the rematch later in the season.
