3 wins, a draw and a one nil loss in the dying seconds to the eventual pool winner placed our boys third in the pool and unfortunately meant that we didn’t go on to the nationals.

But 10 goals for, including goals from Nic Baines, George Fallon and Freddie Baines; and only 3 against, not least due to two spectacular diving stick saves from keeper Theo Hickling against ISCA. Well done to Hector, Harry, Arthur M, and Wilf as well for amazing play all round.

With a couple of team mates missing the boys adjusted quickly and gave every ounce of energy on a scorching afternoon. Even against the best of the rest, they played their own hockey and had much of the possession. An afternoon of hockey to be remembered against some outstanding opposition from across the West region having already done so well at the County level to get through.
